The TEMO·1000 is a 1,100 W electric outboard built for sailors who need real dinghy power without a petrol engine on board. It delivers the equivalent of a 3 HP outboard and moves boats up to 26 ft or 1.5 tonnes, yet the motor lifts off the transom at 10 kg because the 949 Wh battery detaches and carries separately.

How much boat can a TEMO·1000 actually push?

TEMO rate it for tenders, day boats, small sailboats and multihulls up to 26 ft / 1.5 tonnes, with 27 kg (60 lbs) of static thrust. That covers the job most owners actually need doing — getting a loaded tender from anchorage to shore, motoring out of a marina berth, or holding position against a light current. It is a 3 HP-equivalent motor, not a planing engine, so treat it as a replacement for a small four-stroke auxiliary rather than for a main engine.

What is the range on one charge?

Up to 4 hours of running at cruising speed from the 949 Wh, 48 V battery. Hold the throttle wide open and that figure drops sharply, as it does on any electric outboard — the useful number for planning is the cruising figure. Recharging takes about 5 hours 30 minutes from 220 V mains, or roughly 12 hours from a 12 V boat supply, so an overnight charge from the house bank is realistic. Because the battery is a separate 7 kg unit, a second one can be carried and swapped in seconds instead of waiting for a charge.

Why does the removable battery matter?

On the earlier TEMO·450 the battery is integrated, so the whole 4.9 kg unit goes ashore to charge. The TEMO·1000 splits into a 10 kg motor and a 7 kg battery. That matters in three places: lifting the motor onto a transom single-handed, carrying the battery below to charge while the motor stays mounted, and storage or travel, where a detachable pack is far easier to handle. The motor also has a 360° rotating patented stand, three tilt positions and a retractable tiller, so it stows flat.

Is it suitable for salt water?

Yes. The motor carries an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it withstands immersion, and TEMO build it in France with a 3-year warranty for private use (professional use excluded). Rinse with fresh water after use in salt, as with any outboard.

Shipping and delivery

28GOODS is an authorised TEMO dealer in Hong Kong, listed on TEMO's official dealer network. The 949 Wh lithium battery is classed as UN3481 dangerous goods and cannot travel by ordinary air courier, so international orders ship by sea freight, typically 30–50 days. Hong Kong customers can choose local delivery or self pick-up at checkout. The motor ships in its original TEMO packaging with the battery installed and secured.
