VOOK V8e & V8e Pro
The VOOK V8e is a full-carbon road bike built around L-TWOO eGR, a 1×13-speed fully wireless electronic groupset with hydraulic disc brakes. It comes in two builds: the V8e with aluminium wheels, and the V8e Pro with 45mm carbon wheels and carbon crank arms, which brings it down to about 6.7 kg in size XS. Both builds are available in Silver, Black and Blue, in five sizes for riders from 156 cm to 192 cm.
What is the difference between the V8e and the V8e Pro?
The frame, fork, groupset, cockpit, saddle and seatpost are identical. Only two components change:
| V8e | V8e Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Wheelset | WE ONE aluminium, 25mm rim, approx. 1,680 g | WE ONE PRO45 carbon, 45mm rim, approx. 1,480 g |
| Crankset | WE ONE 48T chainring + EVS aluminium crank arms, approx. 755 g | WE ONE 48T chainring + MAX carbon crank arms, approx. 574 g |
| Weight (size XS) | approx. 6.9 kg | approx. 6.7 kg |
The Pro costs more. In return it saves roughly 200 g of rotating wheel weight and 180 g at the crank, and its deeper carbon rims hold speed better on flat and rolling roads. If you plan to upgrade wheels later anyway, the V8e is the better starting point.
Is the V8e an electric bike?
No. The "e" stands for electronic shifting, not a motor. The V8e has no motor and no drive battery, and you pedal it like any other road bike. The only battery that matters is in the L-TWOO eGR wireless groupset: VOOK quotes a 450 mAh rear derailleur battery, charged by USB-C, with a range of up to 1,500 km per full charge depending on how often you shift.
How does the L-TWOO eGR 13-speed groupset work?
There are no gear cables. The shifters talk to the rear derailleur wirelessly, and the hydraulic brake hoses are the only lines running to the bars. The 1×13 drivetrain pairs a single 48T chainring with an 11–45T cassette (11-12-13-15-17-19-21-23-25-28-33-39-45), giving a 436% gear range. That covers fast flat riding and steep climbs without a front derailleur. Braking is by L-TWOO eGR hydraulic calipers on 160 mm rotors front and rear.
Which size should I choose?
| Size | Rider height | Reach | Stack | Stem length | Bar width | Crank length |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 46 / XS | 156–165 cm | 359 mm | 530.8 mm | 80 mm | 370 mm | 165 mm |
| 49 / S | 163–172 cm | 367 mm | 542.1 mm | 90 mm | 370 mm | 165 mm |
| 51 / M | 169–178 cm | 373 mm | 559 mm | 100 mm | 370 mm | 170 mm |
| 53 / L | 176–185 cm | 381 mm | 579 mm | 110 mm | 390 mm | 170 mm |
| 55 / XL | 182–192 cm | 389 mm | 599 mm | 120 mm | 390 mm | 170 mm |
The geometry uses a taller head tube for a less aggressive, more comfortable position than a pure race bike. If you fall between two sizes, send us your height, inseam and current bike size, and we will recommend one before you order.
Which colours are available?
Silver, Black and Blue. Every colour is available in both the V8e and V8e Pro builds and in all five sizes, at the same price. Choose the colour, then the build and size, above.
