Who this bike suits
- Good for: riders who mostly climb. The TCR is Giant's lightweight all-rounder rather than an aero frame, and in a city built on hills that is usually the more useful bike. Disc brakes make a real difference on long wet descents.
- Less suitable for: riders chasing flat-out speed on flat roads or in fast groups — the aero Propel is quicker there for the same effort. Riders who want electronic shifting will need to look further up the range.

- TCR is lighter and designed as an all-rounder. It rewards climbing, and it is the better bike if your regular rides include Route Twisk, Tai Mo Shan or the Sai Kung hills.
