Who this bike suits

  • Good for: smaller riders who race or train to structured power targets and want the complete package rather than upgrading later. Buying a power meter and carbon wheels separately costs more than the step up from the Advanced 1 — and finding a power meter crank in 160mm afterwards is not always straightforward.
  • Less suitable for: riders still settling their fit. The one-piece integrated cockpit means changing reach or bar width requires replacing the whole unit, so the fit needs to be right before ordering.

Why frame size matters more than anything else

Finding a properly small road bike in Hong Kong is genuinely difficult, and the usual workaround — a size S frame with a short stem and the saddle pushed forward — puts a rider in a compromised position that causes hand, neck and knee problems on longer rides.

The EnviLiv is built the other way round. Geometry, crank length, handlebar width and stem length are all specified per size. The 160mm crank on the XXS is not a downgrade; it is what lets a smaller rider turn a full pedal circle without over-flexing the hip and knee — and here it comes with the power meter already built in.

Riding in Hong Kong

A 50mm-deep wheelset and an integrated cockpit pay off on sustained speed — Tolo Harbour, the Tai Po to Tai Mei Tuk cycle track and fast New Territories group riding. Deep rims catch more crosswind than shallow ones, which matters more for a lighter rider on exposed sections during the monsoon.

Two practical points specific to riding here:

  • Humidity is hard on drivetrains. Di2 removes the cables that seize, but chain and cassette wear runs faster here than a European service interval assumes. The power meter also needs its battery and calibration checked periodically.
  • Storage. Even a small frame is roughly 165 x 100 cm with the front wheel on. Check lift access and whether your building permits bikes in common areas before delivery.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does the Liv EnviLiv Advanced Pro 0 come in?

XXS (44.5 cm) and XS (46.5 cm). Crank length changes with size — 160mm on the XXS and 165mm on the XS — and both use a 340/360mm bar with an 80mm stem.

What is the difference between the EnviLiv Advanced 2, Advanced 1 and Advanced Pro 0?

  • Advanced 2 — HK$21,800: mechanical Shimano 105, Giant P-A1 alloy wheels.
  • Advanced 1 — HK$32,800: electronic Shimano 105 Di2, Giant SLR 2 50 carbon wheels.
  • Advanced Pro 0 — HK$48,800: Shimano Ultegra Di2, SLR 0 50 carbon wheels with a 40T ratchet driver, a Giant Power Pro power meter, a one-piece integrated cockpit and an Advanced SL-grade fork.

Does it come with a power meter?

Yes. A Giant Power Pro power meter is built into the Shimano Ultegra 36/52 crankset as standard, in the correct crank length for each frame size, so training data is available from the first ride with no aftermarket fitting.

Can I change the stem length on the integrated cockpit?

Not independently. The Contact SLR 0 Aero is a one-piece bar and stem, so changing reach or bar width means replacing the whole unit. Contact us with your measurements before ordering and we will advise.

Is the gearing low enough for Hong Kong climbs?

The 36/52 crankset runs an 11-34 cassette, giving a 36x34 bottom gear. That is slightly taller than the 11-36 on the Advanced 1 and 2 — fine for fit riders, but if you want the lowest gear in the range, the lower builds have it.

Are pedals included?

No. Pedals are not supplied.

Is delivery free in Hong Kong?

Yes. Bikes are delivered free in Hong Kong with no minimum order. Delivery to the outlying islands is not included — please contact us for a quote.
