TEMO SEASIDE 2.3 kWh Battery Cassette for Pods — 48 V
This is the TEMO SEASIDE 2.3 kWh, 48 V battery cassette on its own, without a rack. Buy this one when you already have a TEMO autoconnect rack fitted and you are adding capacity to an existing bank, or carrying a spare to swap on the water. If this is your first battery for a new pod installation, you need the version supplied with the autoconnect rack instead.
Which version do you need — with or without the rack?
The rack is the mounting and connection hardware that the cassette drops into; it is what makes insertion automatic and what physically holds the battery on the boat. A first battery must come with one. Every battery after that is added to the same bank, so the bare cassette is the correct and cheaper choice. If you are unsure what is already on the boat, send us a photo of the installation before ordering and we will confirm.
How much does one cassette add?
2.3 kWh, which is around 2 hours 50 minutes of running at 1,100 W. Batteries parallel together, so two cassettes roughly double the endurance rather than adding a separate reserve you have to manage. On a POD·3000 or OUTPOD·3000 drawing up to 3,100 W, several cassettes is the normal configuration rather than an upgrade.
